PATTERN INFORMATION

This pillow is knit flat in one piece and is seamed after blocking. There are two sections. Section 1 is knit from the bottom up repeating a block of the main color (A) with two rows of a single stitch vertical stripe in both A and B. Once that section is bound off, the work is turned and stitches are picked up along the left edge to repeat Section 1, so Section 2 is perpendicular to Section 1. After blocking, the pillow is seamed along the bound off edge of Section 2 to the right edge of Section 1. Then the shape shifts so that the horizontal stripes are two thirds of the front and the vertical stripes are one third of the front. The back will then have the opposite: two thirds vertical and one third horizontal. Then the open bottom is seamed closed, a pillow form is inserted, and the top is seamed closed. This is a beginner friendly pattern.
