PATTERN INFORMATION

This poncho is the perfect piece for layering over a long-sleeved top or even PJs on a cold morning! It’s warm and snuggly, but doesn’t restrict your movement like thicker jumpers do. Wear it comfortably as is or style it with a belt for a more fitted look.

This pattern is suitable for beginners looking to try something a little different. It uses 2 strands of DK-weight yarn held double, allowing you to create a marled effect if you want by using 2 different colours or to go for classic simplicity with just the one colour. It’s made of 2 panels worked in rows, where the turning ch doesn’t add to the st count. The front and back panels are then seamed without breaking the yarn so it’s extra durable. You’ll then add a border for a highly polished look. Photo tutorials throughout will guide you through the construction, techniques and stitches.
