PATTERN INFORMATION

This cardigan is a top-down raglan sleeve cardigan. The body of the cardigan is worked in Reverse Stockinette Stitch with two-color striping every two rows and no lower body shaping. The hem and cuff feature a generous length of Single Rib Stitch in the main color. The rib stitch pattern will naturally bring the waist in to give the illusion of shaping and create a flattering and comfortable fit. Stitches are picked up around the armholes for the sleeves, which are then worked in the round (decreasing) to the cuff. The single rib stitch buttonband and collar are created with the main color after the body of the cardigan is completed. After blocking, buttons are sewn on.

This cardigan is intended to have 5-10 cm / 2-4” of positive ease.
