Unicorn is a lovely 75% merino wool yarn together with 25% polyamide in gorgeous shades.
Each hank of Unicorn is unique because the yarn is hand-dyed enabling the most beautiful interplay of colors in the yarn. As the yarn is dyed in small batches, two skeins will never be the same and the colors vary more than usual from lot to lot. It is a good idea to calculate exactly how much you will need for your project before you start, so you are sure to have enough. Unicorn is durable enough for socks, but the wonderful shades make it an obvious choice for unique shawls, sweaters, or funky vests. You can try pairing Unicorn with a thin strand of silk mohair and create a fluffy dream in the loveliest hues.
For larger projects, we recommend alternating between two hanks when knitting/crocheting. Simply work one row with the first hank, the next row with the second hank, and continue alternating throughout the entire project .This way you avoid an overly obvious color shift in the transition from one hank to the next.
Enter the world of magic and color with Unicorn.
NB: We have given Unicorn a little brush-up. The new colors differ slightly from the previous ones, and range from color n. 101 to 110. Bear with us as we phase out the old stock, and ensure you buy enough yarn for your current projects. Since Unicorn is hand-dyed, the colors in Unicorn may vary from Unicorn Solid due to the different dyeing techniques; if you use Unicorn and Unicorn Solid together, it is very important that you handwash the project and avoid soaking.
