The abbreviation for the slip stitch is “sl st”. This simple stitch can, among other things, be used to finish a round.
How to Crochet a Slip Stitch
- Insert the hook into the second stitch from your hook.
- Yarn over your hook and pull the yarn back through the stitch.
- You should now have two loops on your hook.
- Catch the first loop with your hook and pull it through the second loop.
Ta-da! That was your first slip stitch! Continue doing as many slip stitches as you need.
