PATTERN INFORMATION

This tank has been designed to show off the texture created by using the same stitch in different directions. In order to do this, the construction of this tank is unique. Firstly, 2 straps are made, which will be seen as vertical stripes. These cover much of the length of the tank. The body of the tank is added to these straps in horizontal lines, first the front and back sections, followed by the side and underarm sections. Once the body is complete the tank is finished with horizontal rounds around the bottom. Each section is crocheted directly onto the garment meaning there is no seaming involved, just the weaving in of those pesky ends once you’re finished.

This tank is designed to be worn with -2.5 to 2.5 cm/ -1 to 1 inches of ease at the bust.

This pattern has been written using US crochet terminology and is suitable for an intermediate skill level, there are photos within to aid with understanding of the construction
